Hai I'm Calaban! I'm a transgender, soon to be, twitch streamer. I've spent a majority of my life playing videogames and doing photography. I discovered my love for videogames throughout the years of playing them with friends and family. For photography I discovered it sometime around middle school in a Wendy's drive-through and I have continued taking photos ever since. Most of these photos consist of nature and the sky but I wish to expand upon what I capture. Some side hobbies of mine include coding this site and petting my cat, Oliver.

Ever since I was in elementary school I had always wanted a digital space like this to call my own. I played mostly online games and didn't interact on social media. I started interacting on Instagram sometime late in 5th grade and slowly branched into others as I got older. Knowing people could just make websites though, I always wanted to have my own where I could put whatever I wanted basically anywhere I wanted. I loved the concept of the indie web but never knew it was still possible. When I hit highschool is when I began my search for a way to make my own website but had no luck that weren't paid services. The closest I had to my own space such as this was a blog using Blogger in middle school for Animal Jam but never really got around to using it.

In 2023 I had finally found my answer through my friend DoomVega on Cohost when I saw they had their own website. I decided to explore the page and discovered MelonLand and began my coding journey. It was honestly much easier than I expected and have learned much more about coding since by exploring other indie sites and looking up things that I knew existed but didn't know how to execute. The indie web holds a special place in my heart and I really hope people continue contributing their creativity to it.
